Pippa Jones

Welcome to Pippa Jones Photography.

Ever since I can remember I have had a strong passion for wildlife and photography.

Growing up in the beautiful rural countryside of East Anglia, with my dad’s old Pentax Spotmatic to hand and having nature literally on my doorstep ignited my love for these subjects early on.

After college I ended up training as a Model Maker and Sculptor for Films, Theatre and Television and spent almost a decade working in this field. However, I always kept a deep underlying passion and pull towards photography and the natural world.

In my mid to late twenties I eventually took the leap and decided to start learning about moving image. For almost a year I freelanced as a Sculptor and took on as many Camera Trainee jobs as I could. Then one day I shadowed a lovely Director of Photography called Paul Williams on an Atlantic Productions shoot, this hooked me straight into the camera world. From this moment on I decided to focus all my time and career towards the camera department.

I have now spent the last 6 years working as a Video Assistant, Camera Trainee and Camera Assistant on some of the most recent major feature films and dramas. I am also starting to explore the world of Camera Operating on smaller jobs. These roles have enabled me to work in a multitude of countries, in a range of environments and have given me a chance to learn a wide variety of the latest high-tech equipment. Everything I learn in this industry I try to incorporate into my nature Photography and Videography.

With a unique past and range of technical knowledge from set building and art direction to a love for capturing eye-catching compositions, I would be a useful asset for all your studio and location needs, near and far.

Whenever and wherever I travel, for work or for pleasure, you'll be sure to find me tucked behind a camera, constantly on the look out to find the indigenous creatures, beautiful landscapes and local people.

Hope you enjoy my work!
